The Northeast area of Kansas City, Missouri is home to a large Muslim community. For many years, the faithful had no nearby place to worship or study Islam. In 2003, Al-Taqwa Islamic Center was established as a nonprofit, faith-based organization. Al-Taqwa Islamic Center of Kansas City wants our women to be comfortable when they visit the masjid.
Expanded kitchen and dining area will lend an added ambiance to our community events. New classrooms will enhance the study of the Quran. Our new Masjid will have plenty of room for business, study, and relaxation as well as prayer. It will rival the best public buildings and places of worship. As exciting as the men’s section will be, there is more. Our new section for women will also be beautiful.
